Emerald Crest Moss

This green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In moorlands, In marshes, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores.
