Crimson Bog Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In bogs.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly frail; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.

It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
