Clinging Arborvine

This massive shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 30 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous narrow, straight stems covered in thin, ridged, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches trail down across the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of small, fan-like, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are pale red and lime, frail and rough.

It produces handfuls of large, aquamarine flowers with teardrop-shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have an overpowering scent that smells like a woman. In early winter it forms medium-sizedbrilliant green, tough-shelled seeds.
