Clinging Violet
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 47 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has dozens of wide, straight stems covered in wrinkled, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.
The branches trail down to the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of giant, wide, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are violet on the sides and pink at the center, light and waxy.
It produces many tiny, peach flowers with teardrop-shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have an intensely strong scent that smells like rotting meat. In mid-autumn it forms medium-sizedhazel, winged seeds that float and land far away.
The leaves have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
