Whispering Willow

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 55 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several sturdy, straight stems covered in delicate, cracked, black bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches trail down towards the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of huge, wispy, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are peach and black, robust and waxy.

It produces dozens of medium-sized, olive flowers with slender, pointed petals. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like apple. In early summer it forms giantblood red seed pods.
