Clinging Silverleaf

This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 208 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in smooth, silver bark, and inside, the hard wood is copper-coloured.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with very large amounts of smooth, giant, slender, pointed leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are generally olive.

In early spring, it produces dozens of tiny, azure blossoms with 7 shield-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a soft scent that smells like a man.

In late summer it forms small, gold, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
