Magenta Tailgrass

This large, gray-green grass grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The cylindrical stalks grow in thin clumps that are rigid and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, magenta tail.

During the early winter, it produces a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.
