Bloodvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This enormous bine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 632 feet (192.6 meters) and growing as high as 595 feet (181.4 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 5 years for the gray stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 4.8 feet (1.5 meters) and are tough and woody.

The perforated, crispy leaves reach up to 4.0 feet (1.2 meters) in length. They are red on the edges and blood red at the center, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of colossal azure flowers.

It is often home to a particular bird species.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
