Emerald Flame Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs, and In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely flimsy; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
