Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is wispy, and the miniature, burgundy leaves are slender, pointed with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Each stem splits 3 to 5 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with lime petals and a cyan central disk. The flower head is made up of 4 petals in raised layers. They are hardy.

It has a strong scent that smells like onion, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
The sap is edible and overwhelmingly sour.
It is suitable for making strong rope
