Caramel Vine

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 33 feet (10.1 meters) and growing as high as 37 feet (11.3 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 2 years for the blue stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The asymmetrical, soft leaves reach up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) in length. They are caramel and bronze, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several large red flowers.
