Copper Spine Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall. The wispy stem is copper, and is covered in dozens of fine, blood red, hair-like spines. The irregular-edged, pleated leaves are sky blue and white. Small bunches of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are resistant, but take some effort to detach.

It is quick growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are generally aquamarine; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grow at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like bonfire smoke.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the blood red flesh is sticky, and the grey sap is thin.
