Caramel Clinger
Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This average-sized flower grows up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) tall. Its caramel and drab green stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 5 and are thin and straight, and split into numerous branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the huge, hazel or slate leaves are very narrow and elongated with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Many giant flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with solid indigo petals decorated with olive lines and a azure central disk. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They are hardy.
It has a strong scent that smells like coffee, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
