Azure Bindweed

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 34 feet (10.4 meters) and growing as high as 146 feet (44.5 meters).

It takes 20 months for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are hard and brittle.

The broad, flat, leathery leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are either azure or cyan, with turquoise edges, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of small bronze flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces plenty of tiny seed pods.
