Clinging Bluebell

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 11 inches (28 cm) tall. Its green stem is wispy, and the giant, moss green leaves are long, tapering with rounded edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with solid dull blue petals decorated with magenta dots and a blood red central disk. The flower head is made up of 22 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. They fall easily.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like glue, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
