Clinging Silverpetal

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its silver stem is thick, and the miniature, yellow leaves are thin with irregular edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Hundreds of giant flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with solid brown petals and a peach central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of 17 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They are hardy.

It has a strong scent that smells like rich perfume, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
