Emerald Shield Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In bogs, In rainy mountain ranges, and In rainforests.
It is huge, growing up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very delicate; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores.
