Copperleaf

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This enormous shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 37 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has many long and flexible, straight stems covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches trail down to the ground that and are covered with very large amounts of small, wide, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are either caramel, or lilac with silver zig-zags, robust and smooth.

In early spring it produces many tiny, orange flowers with 5 spiral shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a soft scent that smells like lemon.

The leaves are overwhelmingly toxic, and very spicy.
It comes in 26 varieties.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
