Copper Slate Moss

This copper or slate moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In bogs, and On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly robust.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
