Spineleaf Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The wispy stem is moss green, and is dotted with small vibrant green spines. The stocky leaves are beige on the edges and green at the center. Copious amounts of them grow on narrow, brown branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are strong, and do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid cream petals decorated with bronze lines and a gentle blue central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 54 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like new books.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the indigo flesh is smooth, and the hazel sap is thin.
