Crimson Heath Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In heathlands, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely flexible.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
