Twistvine

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 14 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has several narrow, angular stems covered in hard, smooth, burgundy bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches are very long and thick with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of huge, pleated, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are turquoise and amber, hardy and leathery.

It produces large amounts of small, peach flowers with shield-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a faint scent that smells like vanilla. In early autumn it forms medium-sizedpastel green, winged seeds that float and land far away.
