Thorned Magenta Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is moss green, and is covered in sharp spines. The tattered-edged, wide leaves are magenta and olive. Thick bunches of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are flexible, but do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 19 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are orange on the underside and lime on the top grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of 7 petals in raised layers. It has a strong scent that smells like something putrid.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the slate flesh is sticky, and the brown sap is thin.
