Clinging Conifer

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, crooked trunk covered in silky, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is black with white speckles.

The branches are short stubs, with thousands of twigs covered with large amounts of miniature, yellow-green needles. The needles themselves are frail.

In late summer it produces tiny, green seed pods.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.

It is frequently struck by lightning.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It comes in 26 varieties.
