Blaze Cactus

This short cactus grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The very thin stem is yellow-green, and is dotted with small hazel spines. The round body is yellow-green, and is covered in lots of rigid deep orange spines.

It is slow growing, taking 39 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are faded purple on the underside and purple on the top, grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of 6 petals in raised layers. It has a soft scent that smells like ashes.

The cactus's skin is thick, the aquamarine flesh is smooth, and the olive sap is thin.
