Emerald Clump Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps On trees, In bogs, and In damp forests.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is slightly light.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
