Copper Bog Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In bogs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly robust; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
