Clinging Aquamarine Vine

This colossal fruit tree grows up to 58 feet (17.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 79 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, wavy trunk covered in delicate, waxy, brown-green bark, and inside, the hard wood is dark brown.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with large amounts of miniature, slender, pointed leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are gold and bronze.

In early spring, it produces many bunches of large, aquamarine blossoms with perforated petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a strong scent that smells like onion.

In early winter it produces , finger-like fruit. The hairy silver skin is stretchy and inedible, and the slightly crunchy lilac flesh is salty and juicy. The yellow seeds are tiny and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
