Clinging Puffgrass
Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This average-sized, yellow-green grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The spear shaped stalks grow in thick clumps that are robust and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, yellow puff.
During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of large grains.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It can survive a very long time without water.
