Bloodgrass

This short, lime green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thin stalks grow in large clumps that are resistant and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, blood red flower.

During the late summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.
