Emerald Bog Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In bogs, and In heathlands.
It is large, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely robust.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
