Emerald Flame Moss

This olive or purple moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In rainforests, and In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is overwhelmingly resilient.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
