Copperneedle

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is thin, and the huge, copper leaves are needle-like with smooth edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with petals that are cream in the center, dark grey in the middle and red at the edges. The flower head is made up of 54 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. They are sturdy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like skunk spray, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to bees.
