Twistvine

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 39 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, straight stems covered in hard, wrinkled, black bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are long and thick with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of large, asymmetrical, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are solid azure with ashy red splotches, tough and clammy.

In early summer it produces many giant, turquoise flowers with long, tapering petals. They fall easily and have a soft scent that smells like coffee.
