Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,477 feet (450.2 meters) and growing as high as 608 feet (185.3 meters).

It takes 3 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.4 feet (43 cm) and are smooth and slick.

The spear shaped, sticky leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are violet and gold, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many small black flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of small fruits.

The stems are covered in large spikes.
