Silverleaf Pine

This big tree grows up to 68 meters (223.1 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, curved trunk covered in fine, cracked, silver bark, and inside, the very light wood is gray.

The small bunches of branches are short and slender, with thousands of twigs covered with thick bunches of large, copper needles. The needles themselves are delicate.

In late summer it produces small, grey seed pods.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
