Violet Spineleaf

This big leaf succulent grows up to 93 feet (28.3 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is olive, and is covered in many flexible dark brown spines. The pointed leaves are copper at the bottom and violet with gold patches at the top. Large amounts of them grow on thick, yellow-green branches that are long and thin. The leaves are delicate, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 23 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with alternating petals of green and peach, with an olive central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 43 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has an overpowering scent that smells like mint.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the olive flesh is sticky, and the purple sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
