Crimson Grass

This small, gray-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thick stalks grow in thin clumps that are strong and tough.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, crimson tuft.

During the mid-autumn, it produces lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.
