Azure Spine Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The pleated stem is green, and is covered in handfuls of rigid azure spines. The serrated-edged, broad, flat leaves are solid dull green or sky blue, with vivid purple splotches. Handfuls of them grow from the base in a symmetrical pattern. The leaves are sturdy, and take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with lilac petals and a dark brown central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 9 petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like new carpet.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the lilac flesh is rough, and the bronze sap is thin.

It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is suitable for making paper
