Silvervine

This modest-sized tree grows up to 36 meters (118.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 191 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, crooked trunk covered in paper-thin, ridged, silver bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale yellow.

The branches are very long and slender, covered with small bunches of large, green needles. The needles themselves are strong.

In late summer it produces tiny, orange seed pods.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
