Coppervine

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its copper stem is thick and splits into numerous branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the large, silver leaves are long, narrow with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Hundreds of small flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with azure petals that gradient shift to sky blue on the outer edge. The central disk is brown. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 15 petals. They are hardy.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like petrol, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
