Thorned Lavender Agave

This big leaf succulent grows up to 81 feet (24.7 meters) tall. The wide stem is emerald, and is covered in handfuls of rigid grey spines. The wavy-edged, needle-like leaves are green on the sides and vivid purple at the center. Large amounts of them grow from the base in no particular order. The leaves are delicate, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of silver and turquoise, with a vivid purple central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 40 curved petals. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the blood red flesh is waxy, and the cream sap is thin.
