Burgundy Puffgrass
Grass type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The heart-shaped stalks grow in thin clumps that are resilient.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, grey puff.
During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a few medium-sized grains.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
