Emerald Flame Moss

This gray moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In damp forests.
It is enormous, growing up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely sturdy.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
