Copperleaf

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is very thin, and the tiny, copper leaves are long, tapering with smooth edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Around 70 medium-sized flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with petals that are generally pale green; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 35 curved petals. They fall easily.

It has a powerful scent that smells like apple, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird and is ignored by most insect species.
