Clinging Cube Flower

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its lime green stem is very thick, and the giant, lime green leaves are light brown on the underside and are long, tapering with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Each stem splits 5 to 9 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide, with cyan petals and a blood red central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of 14 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They fall easily.

It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like baby powder, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.

The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
