Golden Heath Moss

This gold moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In heathlands, and In marshes.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is slightly delicate.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
