Rockvine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 42 feet (12.8 meters) and growing as high as 248 feet (75.6 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.
It takes 13 months for the slate stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and woody.
The broad, flat, waxy leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) in length. They are generally bronze, and have wavy edges.
During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of tiny cream flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a few tiny fruits.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
