Embermoss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In marshes, and In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very flexible.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores.
