Silverwood Tree

This massive tree grows up to 138 meters (452.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 111 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, wonky trunk covered in fine, knobbly, silver and white bark, and inside, the soft wood is burgundy.

The numerous branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of soft, miniature, perforated leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are dark brown on the edges and blue at the center.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, dark green seed pods.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
